The Power Is In Your Hands

Shining a light on the challenges we face for Earth Hour.

The campaign aimed to heighten awareness around Earth Hour 2020 through a compelling digital campaign and get interested participants to not only symbolically switch off their lights at the designated time but to also register on the website to state their intent of being an involved, global citizen. The overarching objective of getting over a million voices joining the movement is to challenge world leaders to push the preservation of nature up the global agenda. The objective of the campaign was to turn the deeply negative sentiment around load shedding into a positive one by taking back the power and putting it into people’s hands, quite literally. One of their phones, laptop keyboards, and devices they will be able to interact and control the darkness to reveal our message’s positivity and a straightforward call to action to sign up, all underpinned by the power of the WWF Brand.
