The Sharks Rugby Club

The Sharks have never simply been a rugby team. They are part of the rhythm of Durban, shaped by the ocean, built by generations and carried by everyone who calls black and white their own.

Our challenge was to reimagine one of South Africa's most iconic sporting brands without losing the history that made it matter. Rather than creating a new story, we set out to reveal the next chapter of an existing one.

Working in close partnership, North Urbanjava Studio and the Sharks team developed the strategy, positioning, visual identity and launch campaign around The Next Wave, creating a unified Sharks Rugby Club that brings every team, programme and supporter under one identity. The result is a brand rooted in legacy, built for what's next, and united by one enduring promise:
